Aboriginal Child and Family Health (Karrali)

 

The service provides post-natal care to Aboriginal women and their babies. We promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal children from 0 to 8 years and to their families .

Services include:  

  • health checks
  • immunisation
  • breast feeding advice
  • smoking cessation ( Q4NL)
  • advice on nutrition and dental health

We work collaboratively with Aboriginal Mothers and Babies Ante-natal Service and other agencies within Armidale.

The service includes a Child and Family Health Nurse and an Aboriginal Health Education Office.
