Rheumatology
The Paediatric Rheumatology Service at John Hunter Children's Hospital provides assistance to children and young people who have symptoms suggestive of an autoimmune/inflammatory disease or musculoskeletal pain.
Paediatric Rheumatologists diagnose and treat complex inflammatory diseases that affect muscles, joints and connective tissues, which includes conditions such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, known as rheumatic diseases.
