Armidale Sexual Assault Counselling

 

The Sexual Assault Counselling Service provides:

  • Psychological counselling  and related support services to child and adult victims of sexual assault
  • Services are provided to both women and men 
  • Services are provided to victims of recent sexual assault and to victims of past sexual assault
  • Psychologists at the service specialise in trauma counselling and tailor services  to meet the individual needs and wishes of each client
  • Referrals are taken from a range of sources and victims may refer themselves
  • All support is confidential, and respectful of the needs and wishes of each client
  • Counselling is provided on an appointment basis, between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday
  • 24/7 sexual assault crisis support is also provided to assist victims of recent sexual assault, which can be accessed through the Hospital Emergency Department .
