Visiting the Day Unit

Upon arrival at the hospital please see the receptionist in the Oncology & Haematology Day Unit.

They will then proceed to the treatment room where they will be accessed or have a cannula inserted. Bloods will be taken and sent to pathology. The patient will then wait for the results before treatment begins. This may take some time.

Patients attending clinic appointments will be taken into the treatment area to have their height, weight and vital signs taken before returning to the waiting area. You will be then be called by your primary doctor for your clinic appointment.
