The Paediatric Rheumatology Service at John Hunter Children's Hospital provides assistance to children and young people who have symptoms suggestive of an autoimmune/inflammatory disease or musculoskeletal pain.

Paediatric Rheumatologists diagnose and treat complex inflammatory diseases that affect muscles, joints and connectve tissues, which includes conditions such as juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or lupus, known as rheumatic diseaes.

Accessing the Paediatric Rheumatology Service

A GP or specialist referral is required. Your health professional can fax a referral to the Paediatric Outpatient Department on (02)49 223904.
